The image resize mod never worked as expected, so it has been removed entirely.
In its place, we will be administratively managing the sizes through a significant policy change. It does not apply to excessively oversized images
before this date & time.
Staff members will be handing out warnings to those who post oversized images. Images wider than 500px should be resized down to that width. The
height doesn't matter, as it won't distort anyone's display.
If you don't know Photoshop (like me), there are plenty of free resizing and thumbnail services available. Use them.
Both of these services are free and do not require registration:
https://picresize.com/
http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/
You can also create a smaller thumbnail to go along with it, and use BB Code to link the thumbnail the full size image:
[url=https://FullImage.png][img]Thumbnail.png[/img][/url]
BB Code also contains a function for specifying image size:
[img=WidthxHeight]Image.png[/img]
If you can't be bothered to resize the image, then you should include the link only instead of displaying the image inline with your post.
Staff members, please include a link to this post for any warnings issued under this policy change.
Thanks!
