A font that automatically censors "spook" words:

Do you dare install this font on your computer?

The new font called Seen automatically crosses out words flagged in the list of sensitive ?spook words? monitored by the National Security Agency (NSA). According to research by its creator, the NSA monitors about 30,000 trigger words and the UK spy agency Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) watches about 40,000. Among them are the words artichoke, Joe, Harvard, face, Kenya, beef, clone, bank, and communication.

The interactive project demonstrates how our everyday tweets, posts and comments are monitored by government security agencies and offers an elegant expression of the intersection of words, typography and personal privacy.

 Priceless!

Those around during the first crypto war, ~2013 and then the second crypto war will/should appreciate this.

Well, ideally, they don't want to censor you (not directly). They would rather you use those words, since it then generates useful data.

This font kind of notifies you - in a not so subtle way - that a word you've chosen to use just so happens to be on their "list."

I remember them. One group of butt-hurt and angry people arguing with another group of butt-hurt and angry people. :money:

Just kidding, but extreme solution (on any side) help nobody.

That said, weakening cryptography is plain stupid. Anyone who believes only "good guys" can and will exploit the ensuing weaknesses is either delusional or intentionally ignoring reality.
