After consulting with xmb3r and Mike, we decided to go ahead with the version update to 2.0!
This may seem quite different to some, and there will be bugs. We're hoping for small bugs. But if you are able to help us discover them, I'll send you BFG points. Any security compromise will be rewarded monetarily. Please confine pen-test activities to the development mirror.
I'll start with the bug reports (a few known issues):
Various displays/forms need formatted
IP/web app firewall awareness
User name on the first post in viewthread needs to display mini profile
Red dot favicon to match title notifications
Forum display top bottom button page awareness
Thanks to everyone who helped in testing, and especially to xmb3r and Mike who are crucial to the project's success in this on-going process. Great work everyone! This is still a work in progress, and we are looking for all the suggestions, bug reports and reviews you can throw at us.
Also, feel free to submit some high resolution site-themed background images. I'd be more than happy to add them to the rotation!

Congratulations Dave and Mike - and the BFG community.
While I appreciate the mention from Dave, I can assure you all I did was b!tch to him about any small issues found. He did the actual work.

This is probably one of the most fun projects I've worked on. Really nice to see it in a live environment too.
Once the bugs are ironed out, I'll have to see what we can do to make it available to XMBers everywhere.

Here and it errors out to DEBUG FLAG something if you try to upload or ATTACH files

Thank you everyone! The feedback has been overwhelming positive. Your bug reports have been noted, and patches will be applied shortly.
On that note, feel free to give a critical review as well. We can't make the site better, nor can we continue to improve, without critical feedback.
